SLIMPACT Announces New Director of Architectural & Design Consulting and Director of Engineering

Steve Tongco has been in the construction industry since 1999, initially as a Division 08 manufacturer’s representative providing subject matter expertise and later as an architectural consultant for Assa Abloy Door Security Solutions. He consults using his extensive knowledge of interior, exterior, and specialty glazing, storefronts, curtainwalls and entrances, window systems, ACM panels, door & door hardware, including access control with architects, designers, glazing contractors, and manufacturers. He was pivotal in the specification and selection of products for the first regional ICC 500 storm shelter in Florida, for which there were no existing Florida Product Approval standards. He has worked extensively in product testing for various building envelope products to meet Hurricane / HVHZ, Tornado, and ICC 500 standards. He has transitioned to SLIMPACT as the Director of Architectural and Design Consulting.

Anthony Campla has worked in the leadership and management of Computer Aided Design teams as well as AutoCAD backend programming since 2003. He has helped develop and implement new technologies and methods for the design and construction of ICC-500 Hurricane, Tornado, and Bomb Blast resistant Glass and Glazing Aluminum Curtainwall and Storefront Systems. He has helped ensure consistent high-quality products, utilizing 3D Scanning, Building Information Modelling (BIM), Structural Analysis, CNC, and Automated Manufacturing (CAM) capabilities which have dramatically increased Architectural Design Team’s intent within Residential, Commercial, and Governmental Critical Infrastructure construction being realized in As-built conditions. As an ACE member of the National Fenestration and Ratings Council, he was also instrumental in utilizing Thermal Simulations of Glass Systems to assist in more sustainable design of LEED/NFRC certified structures. With a background in ISO 9001 and in-depth knowledge working as a Developer with Autodesk, he has a passion for leading teams of skilled and experienced design Engineers, first principles solutions and consulting, and developing creative solutions utilizing the newest technologies in Glass & Glazing, Aluminum Curtainwall, Composite Metal Panels and Cladding, and now Frameless Glass systems with the SLIMPACT® team.
